An Authentic Dwelling

If the world has ever needed homes of authenticity, it’s now. During this time of uncertainty and instability in our nation, the last thing anyone needs is just another heavy weight of unrealistic expectations and guilt to carry around (including our kids); because, we’re ALL struggling. In our homes, in our marriages, in our jobs, in the day in and day out grind of life. We are ALL just trying to more forward and do the right thing, day after quarantine day.

And let me just say that I’m right there with you. BUT, best of all, God is here with us too. He already sees the end of this thing and knows what the next chapter holds. He is the author of our faith, and so far, I’ve never been disappointed in his expositions, plot twists, or climaxes, and I certainly know I won’t be disappointed by the resolution He chooses either.

During this time of trial and exhaustion let’s do this instead— let’s fill our homes with grace, humility, honesty, forgiveness, and love. And let’s be REAL with one another! Especially to those who dwell under the same roof; because if we ever needed a safe place to be our authentic selves and to share our worries and fears with one another and with God, it’s NOW! Let’s all do our best to create authentic dwellings where mistakes and raw emotions are accepted, where our laughter outweighs the ludicrous, and where love covers all. We will make it through this friends. Let’s press on together- one day at a time.
